Learn to Quit in Fast Company Once Again: Inclusive UI

Learn to Quit, the revolutionary smoking cessation app that we planned, designed and built in partnership with Dr. Roger Vilardaga from the University of Washington, is making a second appearance in Fast Company Design! Kate Meyer, user experience expert at Nielsen Norman Group, weighed in on flat UI, its intended uses, how it often misses the mark, and best use cases. One of those best use cases is Learn to Quit, whose flat design was used with strategic intention for patients suffering from severe mental illness. The use of flat design lessens the dangers of over-stimulation and is the best visual adaptation of Acceptance Commitment Therapy techniques.
