Evening Magazine: Cool at Work – Office Spaces That Rock
The urban folklore of tech offices, in all their zany, often childlike exuberance, has permeated mainstream media ever since companies like Google and Facebook redefined the corporate environment. While we might not have ski chalets or slides in our office, we must admit, we have some of the best digs in town. OfficeLovin‘ agrees, which recently featured SI, along with fellow Seattle product development company, Synapse, on what our innovative, modern offices look like from insider’s perspective. Evening Magazine took notice, resulting in a feature that showcases where we spend our 9:00 – 5:00+.
While our now infamous shot-ski grabbed a lot of screen time, our office is not just about the weird and wacky ways we unwind or find inspiration for the next great idea. We’ve created an environment that not only inspires ooohs and awwwws when you walk in our front doors…we, with great intention, have a space designed for co-location with our client partners, where they can come work side-by-side with our teams, be it for a day, a week, or for the duration of a project. Our floor to ceiling windows maximize day-lighting, while increasing Vitamin D and Serotonin levels, to increase productivity and good feels. And while work-life balance, or rather, life-work balance, is paramount, we get it – we spend more time in the office than practically anywhere else in our life. Therefore, our environment needs to reflect who we are, what we stand for, and be a source of daily inspiration for all that walk our 1/12 of a mile hallways.
